About Christa

About Christa

A self proclaimed fashionista and magazine junkie, Christa has loved everything about makeup, body products and fashion for as long as she can remember. “I would watch Miss America as a little girl and keep track of the scoring and would know the winner before the show was over,” she explains. But in 2005, Christa realized she could not find a body soak that was relaxing and healing to her body after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. “All the body soaks I loved from Origins and Sephora were scented but did not have many healing properties so I thought to myself that I should be able to make it myself.” Today she is thrilled to offer body care products that both men and women love under the name of Sweet Trinity Aromatherapy.

A native Berkeleyian, she also considers Virginia home. Christa studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix and recently obtained her Masters in Business Administration. She enjoys soaking in Dead Sea Salts, which she creates herself, and is constantly on the lookout for the perfect black trousers (Lane Bryant’s Flare Leg Trouser is currently leading the pack). Christa loves being an entrepreneur and gets her energy and inspiration from her daughter Naeemah who helps her whip up products that they both can’t live without.

The Idea for Sweet Trinity Aromatherapy

I love being a woman and all the accessorizing that comes with being girly. We have a ton of choices when it comes to beauty and fashion. For every beauty dilemma, there are a myriad of solutions (which usually come in fancy bottles and jars that we love to display on our counters). I just love it!

I also love body soaks and the combination of moisturizing and healing at the same time. That feeling of baby soft skin, the way your body glows when you emerge from the tub after sloughing off those dead skin cells…simply heavenly. But when it came to a product that didn’t heal as well as smell good, there was really nothing out there. I envisioned exactly what I wanted this product to look like, to feel like, and to smell like. But most of all, I wanted it to work. So I got busy!

The Formula

My kitchen literally became my laboratory. After months of mixing and experimenting (thank you to my sweet daughter for helping mommie out) I came up with a formula that I simply could not get enough of, and the Body Soak was born. My body had never felt better! It received a permanent place in my tub area and I began using it every week. Really…every week – that’s when I knew I had the right recipe.

Other Products

After mastering the Body Soak recipe, other product ideas kept popping in my head and I began a list, which is growing, of recipes and ideas that I continue to test. My late grandmother Queen Esther and my mother have been my biggest inspirations not only for their business sense, but they both have beautiful skin. Their secrets will be revealed over time in this growing line of products.

Other products available are: Aloe Vera Body Oils and the King line for men. Friends, family, and customers continuously give me ideas so the product line will continue to grow over time.
