For the Love of Chocolate!

I have been craving chocolate this week! There are many possible reasons for this sudden craving but the bottom line is that I just LOVE chocolate. My birthday is in a few days so I am taking it upon myself to enjoy a few pieces of dark chocolate and savor every bite!

Monday Momentum - It's Spring!

It's Springtime! I just love the change of seasons and the promise of new fresh things to come! As the cold breaks and flowers bloom - there is hope that to all things there is a season and there is always something beautiful to look forward to.

Many things have inspired me for this Spring and instead of words - I'll use the following pictures to illustrate my inspiration:

Perserverance

I know I am several days late for this week's Monday Momentum so I am titling this entry simply - Perserverance. Do you ever have those days or weeks that so much is going on personally and professionally that you just pray to make it through each day? This week was like that for me!

Professionally I had a fantastic week winning an award and being recognized for my accomplishments while at the same time, being involved in more projects than I have had in months! Personally...I had to take an exam for my ongoing care of my thyroid. Awaiting test results and medical opinions can take a toll on you emotionally but this week I just kept pressing forward knowing that this too shall pass. Good news - my results were great and I got through the week! ;)

I hope you all were able to press through this week and know that you can endure anything that comes your way.

Wishing you all a fantastic day and remember....Be Sweet! ;)

Spa Visits!

Hello all! ;)

No Monday Momentum this week as I was nursing my daughter back to health from a cold and I ended up with a slight cold myself. I made sure to drink plenty of fluids, rest, and take baths in my bath salts! ;)

We are all better now and as I was sitting here thinking about ways to prepare for Spring, I realized that I have not been to a spa in ages. I create a spa environment in my home and that has worked well but there is something so nice and special about going someplace and being pampered.

With that said, I am going to start visiting spas again and bring back my review to you about where I have been, the service, the price, etc. Hopefully this information will help you all make informed decisions about where to get your next service. If you have places you recommend, please leave a comment for me.

Until next time...Be Sweet! ;)

If you aren’t bathing in salts, you can soak your feet in salts!

The other day I had a discussion with a friend about bathing with Dead Sea salts on a regular basis. Many of us get too busy during the week and we don’t take the time to draw a bath and soak - we prefer to jump in and out of the shower. Raise your hand if I am talking about you! ;) I know I am talking about myself because I love showers but I also know that soaking in Dead Sea salts are very beneficial for my overall health.

An alternative I discussed with my friend is soaking our feet in a tub of water with the Dead Sea salts. I have researched over the years the efficacy of soaking our feet and I have found that we can absorb many of the Dead Sea Salt nutrients via our feet when we soak them in Dead Sea salts.

In a previous post, I outlined the benefits of Dead Sea Salts. Sweet Trinity Aromatherapy Dead Sea Salts also include Epsom salts that are good for soaking the feet. According to an article found on livestrong.com, soaking feet with Epsom salt “…helps to relieve muscle pain and stiffness, softens the skin and also neutralizes any foot odors. Doctors recommend Epsom salt foot bath treatments for foot muscle pain due to arthritis, diabetes and athletic injuries. It helps to relax and detoxify the entire body in addition to relieving stress.”

If you do not have time to take a long bath, you may have time to run some water in a foot bowl and sit and soak your feet while eating dinner, watching TV, or talking with your family – the ultimate multi-tasking! ;)

Hope this information is helpful and remember….

Be Sweet! ;)
