Spirit of Giving

Today as all the cyber Monday sales were being announced, I found myself thinking about giving instead of always receiving. One way to give during the holiday season is to provide time, talent, or resources to a local charity. One of my favorite charities is the Salvation Army because of my dad! The Salvation Army is a wonderful resource for people that are in need.

To support the Salvation Army, log on to: www.salvationarmy. com. Click on the link: Ways to Give. You can give online or even donate goods at a local center.

Remember this season is more than just receiving - it is about giving and sharing what God has blessed you with.

Be Sweet!

We Love Aloe Vera!

I love using aloe vera oil because it feels so good on the skin and the substance from the leaf is so good for us. I have been doing a lot of research about the effectiveness of aloe vera because it is a primary ingredient in my products. The top 5 reasons you should fall in love with aloe vera are:

1. useful in the treatment of wound and burn healing

2. used to treat minor skin infections, diabetes, and elevated blood lipids in humans

3. can be consumed to ease digestive issues such as heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome

4. is non-toxic with no known side effects

5. studies show that aloe vera promotes the rates of healing

This information should not be construed as medical advice and you should always seek the advice of a doctor for serious ailments. However, the use of all natural products can aid in your healing and we have witnessed the wonderful effect of using products made with aloe vera.

Natural Sugar and Salt Scrubs

Have you ever wondered what the specific benefits are from body scrubs besides the wonderful scent they can provide??

Well....Body scrubs are typically made with sugar cane or sea salt. The salt scrubs are great for extra exfoliation. Sugar scrubs are wonderful when you want mild exfoliation. Dead Sea and ocean salts are mineral-rich and contain high proportions of Potassium, Magnesium and Bromide. Potassium helps regulate the moisture level of the skin, Magnesium helps promote healing, and Bromide has a smoothing and relaxing effect. Dead sea salt exfoliates and revitalizes the skin and helps draw out toxins. Sea salt is well known for its ability to relieve aches and pains, reduce stiffness after exertion, relax muscles and relieve skin problems such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. The high mineral content of Dead Sea salt stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation. Increased circulation moves trapped fluid from joints, improving joint movement and reducing stiffness and pain. Regular use of salts promotes healthy skin by exfoliating and encouraging regeneration of new skin cells.

So not only are body scrubs good externally but internally as well. Be Sweet!
